The Data Governance department at Alliance Health is responsible for establishing and overseeing the policies, standards, and procedures that ensure our data is accurate, secure, accessible, and used responsibly across the organization. Key functions include: Metadata Management: support all departments with capturing clear, business‑friendly definitions for every data element and dataset. Data Quality Management: Monitors data accuracy, completeness, and consistency; implements remediation processes when issues arise. Data Stewardship Coordination: Partners with clinical, finance, and operations stewards to enforce standards and resolve ownership questions. Education & Training: Provides training, documentation, and support so staff understand their data responsibilities and how to use the catalog and lineage tools. Alliance is currently seeking two (2) interns to support the Data Governance department in building and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of Alliance Health’s data assets within our Data Governance platform (OpenMetadata). This is a 10–12-week internship beginning in June or July 2026, with the potential to go up to 320 hours based on business needs and student availability While there is no expectation of coming into the office routinely, the selected candidate must be available to report onsite to the Alliance Office (Morrisville, North Carolina) for business meetings as needed.
