This is a Bay-Delta Year-Round Student Intern position receiving training and mentoring while performing assignments that offer practical experience and exposure to MWD’s organizational structure. Specifically, this position will support Metropolitan’s scientists in their efforts to advance scientific, policy, and regulatory understanding in the Bay-Delta. Areas of scientific focus may include fish ecology and aquaculture, water resource modeling, habitat restoration, and decision analysis. Metropolitan’s scientists work collaboratively with federal, state, and local agencies and academic and non-governmental organizations on these efforts. The student intern will research pertinent topics related to water supply, Board activities, regulations and legislation, assist with data management, analysis, and reporting, and drafting accurate, concise, and informative briefing materials, including basic maps and field surveys, PowerPoint presentations, and other outreach and communications resources. This Student Intern position will be located at Metropolitan’s office in downtown Sacramento, CA.
