About The Position

This Student Intern position at UT Southwestern involves performing professional-level work related to the degree being pursued. The intern will work under general supervision, assisting, receiving training, and acquiring working knowledge across various departmental responsibilities. The role is part of a longstanding commitment to educating students in research processes, with support from faculty and research staff in both basic and clinical research. Specifically, the summer research student will support strategic priorities such as enhancing basic and clinical science research, increasing student diversity, improving students' research acumen, and providing intensive research educational experiences.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Must be enrolled full-time in college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or better, graduate status

Responsibilities

Perform professional-level work related to the degree that has been completed.
Assist, receive training, and acquire working knowledge of each department's areas of responsibilities.
Support the strategic priorities of enhancing basic and clinical science research.
Support the strategic priorities of enhancing diversity of the students.
Support the strategic priorities of making students more savvy about research.
Support the strategic priorities of providing more opportunities through an intense research educational experience.
Perform other duties as assigned.
