About The Position

The Enterprise Strategy Intern will support UF Health’s enterprise-wide strategic planning, market assessment, and growth initiatives. This role is designed for a highly motivated graduate or advanced undergraduate student interested in health system strategy, analytics, and executive-level decision-making. The intern will work closely with senior strategy leadership and contribute to real-time strategic projects spanning market expansion, service line planning, ambulatory growth, physician alignment, and system transformation initiatives. This internship provides direct exposure to academic medical center strategy, enterprise governance, and executive-ready deliverables, with opportunities to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a graduate program (MBA, MHA, MPH, MS, or related field), or
  • Advanced undergraduate standing in business, economics, public health, health administration, or related discipline
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, executive-level insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analysis, healthcare analytics, consulting, or strategy coursework preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support enterprise strategic planning initiatives, including market assessments, competitive analyses, and growth opportunity evaluation
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using market share, utilization, access, and demographic data
  • Assist in development of executive-level presentations, briefing materials, and board-ready content
  • Support service line strategy work (e.g., oncology, pediatrics, ambulatory care, specialty services)
  • Participate in strategy workstreams related to ambulatory network development, physician alignment, and partnerships
  • Perform ad-hoc research on healthcare industry trends, policy dynamics, payer mix, and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, clinical leadership, and business development
  • Attend select leadership meetings and strategy discussions as appropriate
