About The Position

The Student Intern for Property Underwriting at Allianz Commercial will engage with the Property Team to gain practical experience in risk assessment and underwriting processes. This internship aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry through hands-on learning, collaboration on special projects, and exposure to various aspects of risk consulting and operational support.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a university degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations, particularly strong proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Ability to apply academic learnings to practical situations in the internship.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-starter with teamwork capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate with and contribute to the Property Team.
• Engage in the identification and analysis of risk and loss control advice.
• Gain exposure to underwriting risk selection and retention on accounts.
• Collaborate on proof of concept for new product offerings or research.
• Complete special projects within the internship duration.
• Participate in learning and development activities to understand how insurance works.
