Professional Development Opportunities As part of Hartford HealthCare Medical Group's Student Internship Program, interns have the opportunity to explore a wide range of educational and career‑building experiences across the system. The intern Will be providing administrative support on a leadership project, working closely with various Hartford HealthCare partners and stakeholders. This role will involve collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to project coordination efforts, and supporting the effective planning and implementation of program initiatives. The intern will have the opportunity to utilize and strengthen program‑planning skills through tasks such as helping organize workflows, preparing project materials, assisting with meeting coordination, and contributing to the development of project timelines and deliverables. This hands‑on experience provides valuable exposure to system‑wide operations, teamwork, and leadership‑driven initiatives within HHC. Also, Interns may participate in: Job shadow opportunities with non‑clinical professionals to gain a deeper understanding of Administrative healthcare roles and workflows. Educational sessions and learning events offered by various departments, designed to expand knowledge, develop new skills, and support career exploration. Department tours across Hartford HealthCare locations, providing exposure to different service lines, specialties, and operational teams. These experiences are intended to enrich the internship, support professional growth, and offer valuable insight into potential career paths within the organization. Job Description Will be providing administrative support on a leadership project. Under direction and supervision, performs routine, delegated tasks based on the department needs to further expand their knowledge base in a program. These tasks contribute to meeting the daily needs of the work area and are performed within all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies and procedures. Reports to assigned Manager.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited school program.
  • May require appropriate documented education in related classes specific to the department needs.
