About The Position

Interior Design Intern – Learn, Explore, Create Who We Are At NAC, we design environments where people and communities thrive. Our interiors team works collaboratively across disciplines to create spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and inspiring. Interns are an important part of our studios—contributing fresh perspectives while learning alongside experienced designers. About the Role We’re seeking an Interior Design Intern who is curious, motivated, and eager to grow. This role offers hands-on experience supporting active interior design projects while learning the fundamentals of professional practice in a collaborative, design-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Interest in interior design and the built environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a professional studio setting.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Interior Design program.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) a plus.
  • Exposure to SketchUp or Rhino is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support interior design teams with design development, documentation, and presentations.
  • Research interior products, finishes, and materials.
  • Assist with site surveys, field documentation, and coordination tasks.
  • Help maintain material libraries and digital resources.
  • Apply interior design standards under the guidance of experienced designers.
  • Learn and use design and documentation tools including Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Contribute to purposeful design solutions that support the project’s overall story and experience.
