About The Position

Position Summary (Only for Active Inland Empire Job Corps Center Students)
The Student Worker provides supervised, temporary center support to a designated department in order to enhance the development of employability and independent living skills.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Good reading, math, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Technical training and general knowledge of food services/culinary arts
• Friendly demeanor
• Willingness to assist staff and peers
• Responds well to authority
• Willingness to become ServSafe certified

Responsibilities

• Remove dishes, wipe tables, position chairs, and remove floor debris.
• Perform dishwasher operations and general cleaning and sanitation.
• Assist as required in light food preparation, stocking supplies and deliveries.
• Remove trash.
• Consistently model the program’s Career Success Standards
• Shadow Food Services staff to learn additional food service-related skills
• Attend required training as assigned.
• Promote a harassment-free environment.
• Adhere to and model Strategix servant leadership culture values: Honor Others, Inspire Vision, Choose Integrity, People First, Balance Focus with Flexibility, Serve with Humility, and Innovate and Disrupt.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
