About The Position
The Student Intern for IT Cybersecurity will be responsible for assisting the Cybersecurity team to deploy and manage enterprise antivirus and single sign-on solution. This role involves providing reporting on various security platforms, following up on security events including troubleshooting and remediation, and participating in education to end users regarding security.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in AS, BS, or Master’s program at a university/college, or a recent graduate within the last year.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others.
- Contribute to positive team environment.
- Assist with the designs of security models, security configuration and installation of security devices (firewalls, VPN, routers, intrusion detection and prevention systems).
- Participates with security awareness programs, educate and communicate to the organization about security policies, procedures, and practices.
- Participates in security audits and assessments required by HIPAA and PCI.
- Attends Information Security and Confidentiality Committee (ISCC) meetings.
- Participates in the development of hardware/software/network security procedures and guidelines that support IS security policies.
- Monitors industry security updates, technologies and best practices to improve security management.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of networks and understands network traffic flows.
- Ability to give formal presentations at all levels.
