About The Position

Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Student Intern for our Des Moines, Iowa Transportation Design department. This individual will work with senior engineers on a comprehensive range of highway design projects. Experience will be gained on transportation projects from local agency projects to major interstate projects as well as transportation studies.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering; Transportation emphasis is preferred
• Must have completed sophomore year of a Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Desire to pursue a transportation engineering career

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Bentley Open Road Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil3D, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with highway design and construction plans production
• Learn analysis in highway engineering including highway geometrics, drainage design and quantity calculations
