About The Position

Sentinel is looking for a Student Information Systems (SIS) Specialist to assist our customer. This role will focus on cleaning up existing systems, making necessary corrections, and streamlining processes by moving away from unnecessary customizations and leveraging built-in system features. Attention to detail is critical, as this individual will ensure application settings and data are accurate and properly maintained. In addition, the analyst will provide customer service and support by assisting staff on a one-on-one basis, walking them through system screens, and offering individualized training as needed. This is a contract to hire position reporting onsite at our client location in West Chicago, Illinois. MOTIVATED…..make IT happen! Requirements

  • Must have experience with SIS systems, preferably PowerSchool
  • Must have two years of post-secondary education in computer information systems, related field or equivalent
  • Able to manage all aspects of local information systems, including, but not limited to, e-school Plus (SIS), Destiny (LLC), SchoolPace (American Reading Company), Read 180, Performance PLUS and AIMSWeb data
  • Extensive knowledge of computer software and hardware
  • Experience supporting an education environment and their applications
  • Ability to implement sound practices in hardware and software troubleshooting, maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with security and data governance standards
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, stand, walk and sit
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude
