Seattle structural genomics center for infectious disease within Seattle Children's Center for Global Infectious Disease Research is seeking a student helper to assist with laboratory research. The ideal candidate detail oriented, flexible, able to work independently once they have been trained. They will be expected to work 6-10 hours / week during the school year and full time over the summer break. Potential learning opportunities include but are not limited to: Bacteria growth, E. coli transformation, plasmid isolation and sequencing, Protein gel analysis, protein purification, database interaction, animal cell culture, enzyme activity assays, and binding affinity experiments.
