The Cherry Arts Inc. Production Associate (PA) is an off-campus role exclusively for students who qualify for Federal Work Study (FWS). This role calls for a creative, flexible, organized person who can work regular in-person hours. The Cherry is a multidisciplinary arts facilitator and creator in Ithaca NY, curating our flexible venues, the Cherry Artspace, Cherry Gallery and Camilla Schade Studio. The Cherry is embedded in the heart of Ithaca’s West End, and is focused on being of service to its community. We aim to make all of our programming accessible; through self-selected sliding scale ticket prices for all our events; free tickets for the low-income residents of the Arthaus, a community which includes young people recovering from homelessness; community outreach through our funded Open Arts Hives and other free community events; and the Cherry Gallery, which is open to the public. This role is great for anyone interested in learning more about and/or working professionally in theatre and other performing arts, visual arts, or in arts for social change and community growth. We are looking to engage an individual who is reliable, has a strong work ethic, and believes in the arts and their power to create change in the community it serves. No specific prior experience is required, but a strong work ethic and reliability is a must. If you are excited about learning about what makes a venue work, then we are a great match for you! The Cherry Arts is committed to increasing and maintaining the diversity of our creative family and encourages all qualified applicants.
