Student Financial Services and Admission Liaison role at Quincy College involves a blend of financial aid support services, admissions support and outreach:

Requirements

  • A minimum of one to three years of experience working in admissions, recruitment, academic advising, or similar skillsets. Higher education experience is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and commitment to student success.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as an individual and member of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, prioritizing duties, and the ability to cross-train with other departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with faculty, staff, students, parents, and other stakeholders/influencers throughout but not limited to the enrollment process.
  • Proven critical thinking skills and extreme attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - ability to speak in front of small and large, diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with technology including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook Email, Microsoft Teams, CRM systems, social media, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license and access to motor vehicle.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and telephone guidance to students and parents regarding financial aid options, deadlines, application process (such as FAFSA completion), and understanding their award packages
  • Participate in admission-related activities, such as meeting with prospective students
  • Discuss financial aid financing options with students
  • Guide students through the application process
  • Manage a caseload of students, serving as their primary point of contact for financial aid concerns
  • Track student's progress through the financial aid process
  • Work collaboratively with Admissions Officers and other student success colleagues to ensure a holistic and student-centered approach to enrollment management
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, school counselors, and other relevant parties regarding admissions and financial aid related information
  • Review incoming financial aid documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain foundational knowledge and assist in/with all areas pertaining to student financial aid/admission/enrollment/registration/business/technical areas
  • Schedule appointments to meet with prospective and current students to provide comprehensive information to answer their questions, issues, and concerns in all matters relative to financial aid/admission/registration/academic advising/business matters
  • Assist with outreach activities and all recruiting initiatives of prospective students, current students, parents, and all constituents, including information sessions, campus tours, virtual office appointments, zoom sessions, and off-campus visits
  • "Walk" students and prospective students through administrative/enrollment (admission, course selection, registration, financial aid, business) processes, providing instructional and technical support as needed
  • Participate in relevant professional development opportunities
  • Participate in mandatory training/coursework, as assigned, including but not limited to: Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Sexual Harassment and Non-Discrimination Security Policy and Notification of Security Reporting FERPA Municipal Ethics Laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned
