About The Position

The Opportunity: Are you passionate about helping students navigate their educational journey? In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and parents—providing expert guidance and support in all areas of Student Financial Services. As part of our team, you will play a key role in supporting our Loans Program, along with several other federal aid programs. Your responsibilities will include financial aid processing, packaging, testing, and delivering exceptional client service. Beyond program support, you will help shape our communications by developing and editing content that informs and empowers our community. Everything you do will contribute to advancing the vision, mission, values, and goals of both our office and the university. Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,750.85 - $4,574.21 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Requirements

  • Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience.
  • A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.
  • Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Developed skills in written and verbal communication, including experience with large group presentations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including occasional weekends/evenings.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft.
  • Experience with student services in a higher education setting such as Financial Aid, Scholarships, Admissions, Student Accounts, Academic Advising, Registrar, Graduate School, Athletics, and/or Housing and Dining.
