About The Position

RESPEC seeks a Student Engineering Intern-Solid Waste for our Pipersville, PA location. This position will be part of our 2026 Summer Internship Program. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience with a growing North American engineering consulting firm. The Student Engineering Intern-Solid Waste position involves work tasks that support planning, design, and construction of various engineering projects. Interdisciplinary work with environmental science staff is also anticipated.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental or geotechnical engineering or related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Motivated and positive self-starter, able to work independently and in a team
• Flexibility and desire to gain experience on a wide variety of technical projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Nice To Haves

• Introductory (or higher) AutoCAD skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides broad support for the RESPEC Pennsylvania-based engineering team
• Conducts field work, and collects data on existing conditions
• Assists staff with engineering calculations and reports
• Support documentation for new designs (product, material, and testing specifications)
• Conducts support functions as needed, such as data entry and file management
• Perform other duties as assigned
