About The Position
Residential dining employment: Watterson Dining Commons at Watterson Towers and Marketplace at Linkins at Tri-Towers. Retail food service employment: McAlister's Deli, The Landing, Timbers Grill, Qdoba, and Starbucks. Catering employment: University locations including the Bone Student Center. Front of house and back of house employees will help prepare and serve meals and buffets to ensure great service events. Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is committed to providing an outstanding dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests in all of our locations. We welcome you to work with us! Student work schedules are based around their existing class schedule, and accommodations are made for finals week. Student Employess for EMDH Dining & Catering must able to take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervison. Student Employees for EMDH Dining & Catering Services must be positive & respectful, especially when working with a diverse population. Student Employees for EMDH Dining & Catering Services must have the ability and willingness to complete required training, including Food Handler/Sanitation, Ethics, and Crime reporting within 30 days of employment Upon completion and processing of this application, approved applicants will be emailed a link to choose from several different opportunities and environments within Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality. Requirements
- Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: -Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work. -Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience in hospitality, customer service, or a related field.
- As a customer service driven department, attendance and timeliness are imperative.
