About the position

Self-motivated undergraduate student needed to assist professional staff in the Office of Title IX & Discrimination Resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Assistance to Full-Time Staff: Perform tasks such as making copies, handling mail, filing documents, creating documents, and data entry.
  • Answer Phones: Respond to incoming calls, direct calls to appropriate staff, and take messages as needed.
  • Front Desk: Welcome and assist visitors, providing information and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Manage Shared Email: Monitor and manage a shared email account, remove holds from student accounts, and assign training as necessary.
  • Supply Inventory: Track and manage office supplies, ensuring that inventory is maintained.
  • Tabling: Assist with setting up and managing informational tables at events.
  • Social Media: Help manage and create content for the department's social media accounts.

Requirements

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Work well independently and within a group
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills and tact to handle confidential situations and sensitive information
  • Self-starter with an outstanding work ethic
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Possess basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe & Canva

Nice-to-haves

  • Undergraduate student with a GPA of 2.0 or higher preferred.

Benefits

  • Hiring Rate: $8.00-9.00
  • Flexible hours Monday - Friday between 8AM - 5PM
