About The Position

Student(s) will work backstage in the Fine Arts Auditorium in a technical capacity. This position involves organizing and maintaining stage and backstage areas, painting, constructing sets for theatrical productions, hanging, focusing lights, and operating the light board. Students will also assist in a technical capacity with events held in the Fine Arts Auditorium and will be responsible for organizing the properties room, costume area, and costume workshop, as well as inventorying shop items. Woodworking and experience with power tools are preferred.

Requirements

• Current BCC student
• Woodworking skills
• Experience with power tools preferred

Responsibilities

• Organizing and maintaining stage, props, costumes and backstage areas
• Painting and constructing sets
• Hanging and focusing lights and operating light board
• Setting sound equipment and operating the sound board
• Assisting in a technical capacity with events held in the Fine Arts Auditorium
• Perform other duties as needed

Benefits

• $9.00/hour pay
• Flexible working hours from 1:00-5:00 and evenings
