About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Student position is responsible for producing general nuclear medicine and PET/CT images for medical interpretation. This includes relaying instructions to patients, following procedure protocols, injecting radioactive isotopes, acquiring images, processing images, and reviewing images for accuracy. The position will require occasional weekend coverage. Student employee will interact with all healthcare staff, many clerical staff members, all patient care departments and with patient's families and visitors

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED PLUS, actively enrolled and in good standing with an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • CPR certified

Responsibilities

  • Produces general nuclear medicine and PET/CT images for medical interpretation
  • Communicates with patients, patients’ family members, co-workers, and physicians.
  • Continue education and learning new procedures on a day-to-day basis.
  • Working under the direct supervision of a registered and Arkansas-licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Performs other duties as needed
