About the position

The CRIMES project of the COCJ Police Research Center is seeking to hire student programmers to participate in the development of software for a regional emergency services dispatching integration project. The position will require collaboration with university faculty and staff, independent remote work, and interaction with software vendors and law enforcement/emergency services agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of software for a regional emergency services dispatching integration project.
  • Collaborate with university faculty and staff.
  • Work independently in a remote setting.
  • Interact with software vendors and law enforcement/emergency services agencies.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and C#.
  • Some knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with networking and HTTP communication (REST APIs, JSON).
  • Familiarity with IIS or other web server services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Git and Gitlab.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in developing and deploying Windows services.
  • Experience in collaborative application development.
