About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to provide essential clerical and technical support to our Sonography Department. This role involves working under the supervision of a Cardiologist, Heart Station supervisor, or coordinating technologist. Conducting comprehensive assessments for patients of all ages, obtaining medical history, and determining appropriate care and procedure modifications. Accurately documenting patient assessments, clinical history in CPACS and EHR, and completing necessary forms. Assisting with sonographic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and adhering to departmental protocols for obtaining diagnostic images. Effectively communicating with patients, peers, and medical staff, and notifying appropriate personnel of patient issues. Actively contributing to meeting all departmental accrediting and licensing standards (JCAHO, State Health Department, etc.). Providing patient and student education, completing mandatory in-services, maintaining CPR certification, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • A minimum of twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Diagnostic Sonography.
  • Twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Sonography
