About The Position

This is a PRN Student-Diagnostic Imaging position located at West Hospital. No holidays or call required. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care duties for designated imaging patients and clerical tasks supporting the department. The incumbent will perform procedures and provide personal care while ensuring the surroundings are clean, orderly and well-stocked.

Requirements

• Imaging student must be actively enrolled in an accredited imaging program.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Active Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Radiology Student Permit, if applicable.
• Knowledge of RIS for training and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of PACs for training and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of principles of good personal hygiene and aseptic techniques.
• Good communication skills and public relations skills.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patients served.
• Ability to set priorities and manage a high workload within limited time for completion.
• Ability to observe patients and report any changes to the technologist.
• Ability to organize tasks.
