About The Position

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student at the University of Michigan-Flint with plans to enroll in Fall 2025.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 as of January 2025.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Positive attitude towards the University of Michigan-Flint.
• Interest in learning new skills and receptive to feedback.
• Basic knowledge of university policies and campus resources.

Nice To Haves

• GPA of 2.8 or higher as of January 2025.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new student orientation sessions to inform incoming students about university policies and resources.
• Assist in the training of new Orientation Leaders and develop workshops for orientation sessions.
• Communicate with new students via phone and email to address their needs and concerns.
• Present workshops and provide information during orientation sessions for first-year and transfer students.
• Give campus tours and assist students with campus technology, including registration processes.
• Participate in additional events such as My Flint events, Wolverine Welcome, and Move-in Day.
• Follow up with new students throughout the fall semester to ensure their ongoing success.
