About The Position

The Student Conduct Educator and Care Case Manager at the Community College of Denver plays a dual role in supporting students through both conduct and care management. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Human Services, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related area.
  • Three years of professional experience in a higher education setting, including two years in student conduct.
  • Extensive experience in crisis intervention and management.
  • Working knowledge of threat assessment programs and best practices.
  • Experience working with campus resources such as counseling centers and victim advocacy.
  • Demonstrated experience working with underrepresented student populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with diverse constituents.
  • Knowledge of first-generation college students and at-risk populations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in behavioral intervention teams and university case management programs.
  • Familiarity with legal issues related to student affairs, including FERPA and Title IX.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized case management and resource referral for students struggling with mental health and wellness.
  • Evaluate the risk of students referred to the Care Team and conduct formal Threat Assessments when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed records on assessments and outcomes to track student progress and interventions.
  • Update Maxient database in a timely manner with outreach methods and case needs.
  • Communicate with faculty and staff regarding Care-related concerns about students.
  • Adjudicate Student Conduct & Academic Integrity cases, including initial review and triage.
  • Facilitate holistic conduct meetings that emphasize accountability and behavioral change.
  • Determine preponderance of evidence and assign sanctions as appropriate.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of related systems and procedures.
  • Manage cases in Maxient from creation through sanction tracking.
  • Collaborate with college offices to provide holistic student support.
  • Assist in disseminating policy and procedural information to the community.
  • Engage in special projects or tasks as assigned by the Director of Student Conduct and Support.
