About The Position

The purpose of this position is to attract aspiring IT professionals that can contribute to our organization's IT initiatives by providing them with practical experience, guidance, and professional development.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled 3rd year college student or equivalent work experience within Information Technology or healthcare fields.
• High school diploma or GED is required
• Must be a current college student.
• Must have a working knowledge of reading, writing, mathematical and computer skills as normally acquired through college courses.
• Must be able to work independently, accurately follow directions and possess good organizational skills.
• Must have professional interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals either in person or on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing customer service for technology needs of employees of MyMichigan Health or provide assistance for various projects identified by the Directors, such as support of the budgeting and training process.
• Take initiative to take on extra assignments or to assist others during periods of increased activity.
• Provides clerical support as needed.
• Job shadow key information technology areas including infrastructure, Epic (EMR), virtual care, and shared services.
• MyMichigan Health is a technology driven organization and employees need to demonstrate competency in Microsoft Windows.
• An employee may be required to participate in further learning opportunities offered by MyMichigan Health.
• Demonstrate a positive, courteous, and helpful attitude toward co-workers within and outside of the department.
