About The Position

The student CNC Machinist position provides high school students with hands-on machinist experience in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

• Must be a current high school senior or enrolled in a CNC programming, machining, or robotics school program.
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to work in a high-paced, hands-on environment with shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (lathes, mills) to complete precision machining tasks under guidance.
• Learn to read technical drawings and work instructions
• Observe machining processes to learn programming and tooling concepts
• Follow all shop safety rules and machine guarding requirements
