As a Student CNA on our Cardiac II Telemetry Unit, you'll be part of a high-energy team caring for patients who require continuous heart monitoring. This is hands-on, real-world experience that helps build confidence and skills you can't get in a classroom, and the flexible PRN schedule means you can balance it with school. This role is perfect for students who need a flexible schedule, want to grow quickly, gain exposure to cardiac care, and get their foot in the door with one of the region's leading healthcare systems.

Requirements

  • Active North Carolina CNA license (required)
  • Enrollment in a nursing or healthcare program highly preferred - perfect for students!
  • Willingness to work flexible PRN shifts (including some weekends/holidays based on unit needs)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and people-first mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced cardiac environment - high energy, high impact
  • Commitment to our mission, values, and culture of safety
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Completion of NAI program, required
  • Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required
  • Medication Safety - AME, required
  • NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required
