About The Position
NHC Lewisburg offers a free, fast-paced 10-day State Certified Nurse Aide Training Program designed to help individuals jump start their nursing career and become a Certified Nursing Assistant. The class requires a completed application, valid photo identification, and a Social Security Card for consideration. Strict attendance is enforced, with no absences or tardiness permitted, and students must maintain an 85 grade average. A $30 deposit for books and supplies is required, which is returned upon graduation, and students must purchase one set of scrubs. A criminal background check and consultation of abuse registries will be conducted, and individuals with felony convictions, certain misdemeanors, or those on abuse registries will not be admitted. Student selection is based on healthcare center needs, candidate shift availability, entrance exam score, flexibility, previous work history, and attitude. Employment opportunities may be available upon successful completion of the course.
