What starts here really does change the world. TQI is seeking a motivated and creative student to support science communication efforts. This position will focus on managing and updating TQI’s social media platforms, maintaining directors’ group websites, and writing short news articles that highlight ongoing projects, research, and events. The ideal candidate will be a junior or senior majoring in a science or engineering field with strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an interest in making scientific topics engaging and accessible.

Requirements

• Current junior or senior majoring in science, engineering, or a related field
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to explain scientific topics to a broad audience
• Familiarity with social media platforms and website content management systems (WordPress or similar)
• Creative, detail-oriented, and organized, with an ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

• Experience in graphic design, video editing, or digital content creation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain TQI and affiliated directors’ group websites with fresh content, announcements, and resources
• Draft short, engaging news articles and features highlighting TQI projects, events, and faculty/student accomplishments
• Assist in creating visual and multimedia content to enhance online communication efforts
• Collaborate with TQI staff and directors to develop and implement communication strategies
