The SFBU Student Assistant, who reports to the Chair of Psychology, will provide administrative support and assistance with research, specifically in the areas of curriculum development. This temporary part-time position is non-exempt, scheduled for 20–29 hours per week, and eligible for a hybrid schedule (two days on-site and three days remote).

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled and have completed at least one term as a student at SFBU.
  • Excellent public speaking, organization, time management, teamwork, and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a high level of professionalism, ability to follow procedures, and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Research and collate business school requirements and courses at local universities and colleges to identify curriculum gaps at SFBU for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Review and verify syllabi for existing courses.
  • Assist in creating requirement checklists for new professors in terms of curriculum requirements and syllabus development.
  • Assist in generating onboarding training materials for new adjunct professors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
