About The Position

Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Continuing and Professional Education. Start Date Position available on or after February 2, 2026 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Requirements

Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Demonstrates the ability to utilize office equipment (copy machine, scanner, etc.).
Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, OneDrive).

Responsibilities

Greet, direct, and assist visitors by answering questions and providing information.
Answer, assist, and direct telephone calls.
Promptly retrieve, forward, and return all voicemails, emails, and in-person messages.
Check and disburse mail; take mail and packages to the mail room as needed.
Assist students with registration related questions.
Use PeopleSoft to look up student info.
Use Microsoft Forms and Excel for data entry, track registrations, and communicate with students.
Help prepare documents, forms, and reports for departmental use.
Assist staff with inquiries and administrative needs as requested.
Ensure reception and lobby areas are neat, clean, and presentable.
Assist with restocking office supplies and/or other equipment.
Perform general clerical support to the department as needed.
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all student and staff interactions.
Run errands around campus as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
