About The Position

The College of Extended and Global Education (Dean's Office) is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and motivated student assistant to support staff and management. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The Student Assistant will have interaction with students, staff, faculty, administration and international guests while providing administrative and program support.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work
  • Follow oral instructions
  • Work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students
  • Communicate effectively with all levels
  • Read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
  • Admission or registration as a CSU student
  • Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative
  • Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
  • International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Social Security Card

Nice To Haves

  • The student assistant must be able to work well with others as well as independently, be dependable and punctual, self-motivated, and a quick learner.
  • The student assistant must have proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word) is a must.
  • Experience using Salesforce is a plus.
  • Student must maintain a 2.5 GPA and also be enrolled at least half-time in courses at CSUSB on a semesterly basis.
  • Exceptions during Summer Session.
  • Current Driver's License
