The Student Assistant-Website and Digital Content Specialist will assist with migrating content from the existing UFTI-T2 website to a new WordPress template. The role involves customizing website appearance and features using WordPress themes, widgets, and plugins in line with UF branding and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1). The assistant will collaborate with staff to identify website improvement needs and implement new functionalities such as interactive course listings, resource libraries, and registration enhancements. Additionally, the position includes creating and updating program-specific FAQ pages using ChatGPT-style writing to provide engaging and accessible information. The assistant will also support the design and integration of a ChatGPT-based assistant to help users navigate manuals, conduct periodic website audits to ensure content accuracy, mobile responsiveness, and compliance with UF's digital policies, and work closely with the UFTI communications team and UF IT support to coordinate technical needs.
