About The Position

The Student Assistant for the Ticket Office assists customers with purchasing tickets for athletic events both in person and over the phone, ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process. This role provides guidance on seating options, event details, and pricing to help customers select the best tickets for their needs. The assistant responds promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests while maintaining a high standard of service. They handle challenging situations with empathy and strong problem-solving skills to deliver effective resolutions and positive customer experiences. Additionally, the position involves processing ticket sales, exchanges, and refunds accurately using ticketing software and internal systems, maintaining precise transaction records, and supporting overall box office operations to ensure an organized and efficient environment.

Requirements

  • Current University of Alabama student
  • Must be enrolled in a UA degree program
  • Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters
  • Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters
  • International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters
  • Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment
