About The Position

The Ennovar team is looking for a student assistant to work with Kansas Fiber Network as a Software Engineer. A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

Engaged in completing a four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS.
Experience with Python, React, or JavaScript (academic or professional).
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Exposure to full-stack development.
Exposure to Circuit Vision ticket tracking software.
Familiarity with automated reporting, dashboard creation, and API integration.
Interest in telecom systems, service availability, and network configuration.
Familiarity with circuit design layouts and router configuration.
Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Work on projects such as a Service Advisory Tool, MTTR Reporting Tool, and Service Configuration Tool.
Research and develop custom software solutions for each project.
Design user interfaces and APIs for web-based tools.
Create end-user documentation and support materials.
Use CI/CD pipelines and industry-standard development tools.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and present deliverables.
Participate in the Agile process and iterative development cycles.
