The Student Assistant - Peer Supplemental Instruction Leader at Georgia Gwinnett College plays a vital role in supporting student success initiatives by facilitating Peer Supplemental Instruction (PSI) sessions and tutoring. This part-time, temporary position is designed for currently enrolled students who are committed to helping their peers achieve academic excellence through structured support and guidance.

Facilitate PSI sessions and/or tutoring sessions
Report attendance data and tutoring summaries
Create PSI lesson plans if applicable
Participate in AEC events around campus
Attend all mandatory PSI meetings and training sessions
Other duties as assigned

Must be currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College
Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA
Must have earned an A in any class that they support
Must possess excellent written and oral communication and computing skills
Must maintain good academic standing and good standing with the Office of Student Integrity
Must maintain a regular weekly schedule
Must possess attention to detail and superior organizational skills
Must have ability to handle confidential information and follow FERPA guidelines
Ability to exhibit a level of competency or proficiency in the subject matter of hire
Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with students, faculty, and staff
Ability to use the Internet and electronic mail system
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and administration
