About The Position

The Undergraduate Student Assistant will support UA Early College during the Summer 2026 LEAP Camp.
Assists in early morning set up before camp begins. Assists with daily evening tasks. Oversees students during LEAP camp. Leads groups middle school students around The University of Alabama campus. Maintains professional and courteous interactions with students, university staff, community partners, and co-workers. Uses critical thinking skills to solve issues that occur. Completes all other tasks deemed appropriate by the Summer Programs Manager.

Requirements

• Current University of Alabama undergraduate student.
• Must attend Attend LEAP Staff Training on June 4, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
• Must demonstrate the ability to relate incredibly well with middle and high school students, parents, and educators.
• Must have the ability to work with a wide range of people as well as possess initiative, flexibility, and independence.
• Conflict management, excellent communication, and leadership skills.
• Organization, independence, and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working day camps (Camp 1831, etc).
