About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an FAU Undergraduate Student for the position of Student Assistant for Development - Boca Raton, FL. The College of Education is inviting applications for a Student Assistant for Development. This is an exciting opportunity for a student to gain firsthand office experience in a university environment. We are looking for a highly motivated, professional-minded student to serve as a Student Development Assistant and provide a wide range of database research, administrative and general support to the College of Education Development team. Summary of Responsibilities include: Working collaboratively with the Director of Development and Development Associate on the implementation of a robust development strategy. Participating in the donor cultivation process from research to gift, including coordination of strategy meetings, basic donor research, visit planning, donor acknowledgment, documentation and follow-up. Working as part of a team in a professional office setting. Operating and utilizing computers and multi-function copier. Work closely with the Development Associate to prepare for, attend and represent the College at various student and alumni events. Handling and maintaining confidential information. Performs other job-related duties assigned.

Requirements

  • Florida Atlantic University degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA.
  • Possess at least a sophomore status at Florida Atlantic (26+ completed credit hours).
  • Must be reliable and able to manage time to work on multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
