About The Position

Under close supervision of the Section Manager, this position is responsible for working with technical staff in the off-road and on-road diesel engine/equipment certification program performing paraprofessional duties. The candidate will work part-time, participating in various phases of the certification process. Responsibilities include gathering, tabulating, and analyzing engine/equipment/vehicle certification emissions data submitted by manufacturers for their exhaust and evaporative families; updating and maintaining complex certification databases; scanning Executive Orders for web-posting; preparing segments of reports and correspondences; and performing any other duties that may be necessary to meet the needs of the section. Requirements

  • Must be able to move/transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • A strong candidate will possess education and experience working with basic engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, including other data analysis programs is required.

  • An ability and strong desire to learn, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
  • The ability to strictly adhere to scheduled working hours and meeting the assignment timelines is a must.
