Academic Technology is looking to hire Student Assistant Engineers! IMPORTANT: To be eligible for consideration, you must be in at least your 5th semester and already familiar with Berklee studio facilities and equipment. You will assist the staff engineers on a variety of sessions ranging from student projects, visiting artists, Global Jazz, and faculty grants. You will be expected to learn the procedures for preparing sessions prior to the day of recording, setup the live room, control room, and run the DAWs as needed. Project depending, you will also be expected to have the skills necessary to run a session on your own with minimal supervision while the staff engineer is in another session. Other duties may be required on an as-needed basis. Those who have problems with punctuality, trouble following precise directions, or have been suspended from the use of the studios need not apply. To be considered for an interview, you must include a cover letter along with your resume. If you are looking to get involved with the Berklee community while earning some money, you may want to consider applying for student employment. The Student Employment program provides opportunities for you to work part-time on campus, thereby helping you to meet some of your living expenses. With more than 900 positions ranging from 10 to 15 hours of work per week, as well as daily opportunities for project-based temporary employment, student employment is a great opportunity for professional and educational growth.
