About The Position

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student at Cal Poly Pomona.
• Must have food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
• Satisfactory completion of training programs and ability to show competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the dining services operation.
• Perform general office tasks, tutoring, washing dishes, waiting tables, cashiering, custodial work, ground work, and stocking.
• Deliver high levels of interactive customer service and handle confidential materials appropriately.
• Communicate regularly with the direct supervisor regarding work status updates and task completions.
• Prepare and build food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Set up work stations including prep tables and service counters.
• Break down, clean, and sanitize work stations.
• Serve food to customers while ensuring guest satisfaction and anticipating their needs.
• Replenish food items and ensure products are stocked to appropriate levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at designated stations.
