The Student Assistant (Career Ambassador) role involves providing exceptional customer service and career development support to students, staff, faculty, and employers. Key responsibilities include reviewing career documents like resumes, cover letters, CVs, LinkedIn profiles, and personal statements, coaching students on interview strategies, professional dress, and conducting mock interviews to inspire professional growth. The role also entails providing one-on-one assistance and career information to students and alumni, facilitating career development outreach presentations to classrooms and student organizations, and performing administrative duties such as logging student information and developing resources. Career Ambassadors are expected to attend monthly professional development training and supervisory coaching sessions, check career center email regularly, assist with Career Showcase and other career center events, and uphold the Career Connections Center's values. Additionally, the position involves assisting in managing the daily operations of the Molm Family Gator Career Closet, which includes customer interaction, inventory management, data processing, and maintaining a clean and friendly work environment.
