Student Assistant - Cardiology Unit - Part-Time

Schedule: Part-Time | Days or Nights Available | 12 hours every two weeks About Us - Cardiology Unit Located on the second floor at Freeman Hospital West Cardiology is a fast-paced, high-energy, procedurally driven unit caring for patients with cardiac or vascular ailments 45-bed unit focused on “anything and everything HEART!” Bedside care is delivered by a team of high-quality nursing staff consisting of Registered Nurses, New Graduate Nurses, Unit Techs and Unit Secretaries What You’ll Do Under the direction/supervision of a nurse, provides basic nursing care needs for assigned patients.
Requirements
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
- Currently enrolled in RN or LPN nursing program and have successfully completed first semester of nursing courses.
- If a CNA license was held prior to starting nursing program, the employee may be considered for a Student Assistant program.
- Must successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days of hire.
- NT Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction/supervision of a nurse, provides basic nursing care needs for assigned patients.
