About The Position

The Student Assistant will support Blue Tie Catering as a Food Service Associate on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2025. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University

Nice To Haves

• Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
• Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills

Responsibilities

• Help prepare fresh food items
• Event preparation, setup, replenishment, and breakdown
• Excellent customer service
• Cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, polishing equipment, and washing dishes
• Removal of trash and recyclables daily
• Operating various types of kitchen equipment, including ovens and dish machines

Benefits

• Proposed Salary: $10.00 per hour
• This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis
