The OSU Extension Hardin County Summer Student Assistant will work administratively under all three program areas. They will be expected to work cooperatively with local 4-H, Master Gardener and FCS volunteers, members of the Hardin County 4-H program, and clientele of the OSU Extension office. This includes assisting with coordination, facilitation, and management of various tasks and events. These tasks will be related to 4-H project judging, agriculture research, project workshops, and various Extension programs. Tasks may include sample collections, data entry, scouting field research sites, teaching and facilitation, marketing, and other duties determined by the student’s skills. Responsibilities will be moderate and less routine and will require responsibility and good judgement. May coordinate activities for other student employees. Requires providing excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a professional environment. Requires previous experience and knowledge or skill in student assistant role. Represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
