The Student Ambassador position at Metropolitan State University involves assisting with University Advancement Operations, which includes making thank you calls and letters to donors, planning and participating in events, and reaching out to potential donors. The role also requires showcasing the student perspective to University stakeholders, such as alumni, board members, and friends of the University. This may involve writing for University Advancement communications, conducting campus tours, and accompanying Advancement staff on donor and foundation visits. Additionally, the Student Ambassador will help build a culture of philanthropy on campus by encouraging student philanthropy through various activities, including staffing a University Advancement table at events like New Student Orientation, Grad Expo, Fall/Spring Fest, and Commencement, as well as developing projects that promote contributions to the Metro Fund and creating opportunities to showcase philanthropy on campus.
