About The Position

The Student Admissions Assistant III position at the Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning is primarily responsible for engaging with prospective online students at the University of Louisville. This role serves as the first point of contact, assisting students in navigating the application and enrollment process through various communication channels. The assistant will conduct personal interviews, provide information about academic programs, and follow up with students to maximize enrollment in online programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office 365.
  • Experience in higher education student information systems.
  • Experience in cloud communication platforms for managing inbound/outbound communication.

Responsibilities

  • Contact prospective UofL students via phone, email, text, and chat within one business day of inquiry submission.
  • Conduct telephone-based personal interviews to qualify prospective students on their educational goals and interests.
  • Explain available academic programs and advise on admission requirements to encourage applications and enrollment.
  • Manage inbound and outbound communication to recruit and counsel prospective students.
  • Build relationships by providing accurate and timely information about deadlines, admissions procedures, and support services.
  • Attend recruitment events and information sessions for online programs as needed.
  • Assist applicants through proactive contact via phone, email, and text.
  • Liaison among applicants, admissions, and academic units to expedite decisions and resolve barriers.
  • Consult with Online Enrollment Services Manager and other units to guide prospects through the application process.
  • Track interactions with prospects, applicants, and current students from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the CRM database using standard documentation.
  • Identify barriers or trends in prospective student interest and escalate issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with Online Learning team members to ensure efficient processes.
