Student - Admissions Ambassador
About The Position
The Admissions team seeks enthusiastic and dedicated students with a strong commitment to the University. Ideal candidates will have a passion for sharing their campus experience and expertise with prospective students, families and other guests visiting Newman University. Ambassador Work Performed: Guiding campus tours for prospective Newman University students and families, in person. Guiding campus tours for various other guests, including new staff & faculty. Assist Admissions Counselors in school visits from High Schools, Middle Schools and Elementary Schools. Participate in event days and student panels, sharing your Newman experience. (Typically 2-3 Saturday events in the Fall and Spring.) Work 5 to 20 hours each week. Complete University-required trainings.
Requirements
- Be a full-time Newman University student, enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester (First Year students are welcome to apply as well as upper classman students)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- A high degree of commitment and reliability
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability for various visit experiences and guests
- Passionate about Newman University
- Respect for confidentiality and professionalism at all times, especially when guests are present
