Requirements

• Candidates must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University and agree to a disciplinary check.
• Ideal candidates will have experience and interest in Events Management and Sales and are ready to join a fast-paced office environment.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled graduate students in the New York area.
• The Events Assistant will work on events-related projects on a rolling basis and we are looking for candidates that are flexible, creative, and have the ability to work both independently and in groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various office tasks that support the daily operations of the University Life Events team, including work order ticket entries for custodial and labor needs, updating spreadsheets or tracking documents, responding to emails, and supporting other behind-the-scenes logistics.
• Assist with staffing and supporting weddings, memorials and other events assigned by the AD. Some tasks may include helping with event set-up, breakdown, basic A/V support and transporting supplies and materials as needed.
• Track necessary event details such as cancellations, no-shows, flag missing/outstanding event details from event/space requests submitted to UL Events. Create reports to showcase impact and guide leadership towards making informative decisions.
• As assigned and based on office needs.
